Warcraft III is from Blizzard Entertainment. This is a real-time strategy game. The W3M provides a three dimensional world for the Warcraft III adversaries to roam around and fight their battles. The company’s own 3D engine presents a world with full interactivity. In the background, characters other than the player’s and ambling monsters are incorporated. Dynamic environmental effects and stills like temples, neutral towns and strongholds add to the overall theme of the game. This version of Warcraft has support for multiple resolutions. Features of the latest 3D cards are maximized without withdrawing support for the wide range of much older cards.

This time, there are four unique races and two additional nations mixing it up. Each of the four races has distinctively identifiable armed units. They still have magical abilities and carry their respective weapons of war. The fight for dominance is participated by the Humans, the Orcs, the Undead, and the Night Elves.

The Undead and the Night Elves are the warriors from the two new nations. The Undead, called the Scourge, is from the icy tundra of the north. The army is plague-ridden but not less determined to emerge victorious. The seeds of the most ancient race of the world produced the Night Elves. This is a band of mysterious and shadowy creatures. After eons of secluded existence, the army of the Night Elves emerged to join the battle and defend the world from its demise.

The older versions kept players playing and spectators were enticed to join. Today’s version of Warcraft has expanded its multiplayer option over Battle.net to involve a total of 12 players per game session. Several game types like questing and team play are available. There are also new matching techniques and tournament options.
